e-Mādhavanidāna

A reading edition of the Mādhavanidāna, in IAST

The Mādhavanidāna, attributed to Mādhavakara, is a Sanskrit compendium organized around the diagnosis (nidāna) of disease, in 70 chapters. It is read here alongside two commentaries, the Madhukośa and the Ātaṅkadarpaṇa, with all three registers distinguished typographically. Unlike the Suśrutasaṃhitā and Carakasaṃhitā, this text has no sthāna (sectional) division — the chapters below run continuously.

The text below is based on the 1955 edition of the Mādhavanidāna edited by Yādavaśarman Trivikrama Ācārya.
